Twisting slides offer a whole new level of fun that straight slides cannot. However, these types of slides should be much taller than the pools on which they are used. They are like the winding slides you see at water resorts. So, you climb up and then slide down along the winding path until you hit the water. For above ground swimming pools, twisting slides cannot be too long, most especially if your backyard area is not big enough. While winding slides are fun, most people do not choose them, because they take too much space. 4. Enclosed pool slides offer thrill. They can come in either straight or twisting designs. An enclosed slide can only be effective if it is raised at a good distance from the ground. Otherwise, you will end up in the water right away, and that’s not fun. Enclosed slides, like the twisting type, need a large pool and a big backyard. 5. Wet slides provide smooth experience. They are different from other slides, because they are slippery. Plastic slides are good, but on a sunny day, they easily get dry, and dry slides can be harsh on the skin. However, that does not mean you should always use slippery slides. You can attach a hose to your slide and run water along it so that it remains wet. Whatever kind of slide you have, it must be maintained properly. Cleaning it after use is one basic maintenance measure. Proper storage is another. Then, checking for defects before use is imperative.
